I did not think the protests yesterday would get so out of hand. There just wasn’t any dialogue between us and the police. Some people really took out their frustrations on the cops though and sort of forgot what the protest was about I felt like. But at the same time, it was unnecessary for reinforcements when the students were just standing/dancing around in the street. I mean who are the police really protecting here? And apparently they traded in their pepper sprays for paintball guns, smh. Aghhh our system is just too fcked up. But overall, I’m glad the protest turned out to be pretty successful in number. Good to see people fighting for their education and i was proud to be part of it. It’s just a matter of who is gonna listen?…
